A country dance hall runs on one thing: a real wood floor big enough for two-step and line dancing, a band or a DJ keeping the room moving, and a bar close enough that a round doesn't cost you your spot on the floor. That's the room Concrete Rodeo built for Bryan and College Station. It sits in Historic Downtown Bryan, a designated Texas Cultural District, in the building that used to be the 3rd Floor Cantina at 201 W 26th Street, about ten minutes from the Texas A&M campus and Kyle Field.

Two-Step First, Then Find The Line
Most first nights follow the same order. Come early for beginner two-step lessons right on the dance floor, get comfortable with the basic steps, then stay as the room fills in for line dancing and whatever the band or DJ has going. Bring a partner or find one here. No experience required for either.

From 3rd Floor Cantina To Concrete Rodeo
Concrete Rodeo took over a building with a history. It first opened as 3rd Floor Cantina on New Year's Day 2020 under Dustin Batson, then closed within months when the pandemic hit, as KBTX reported when the dance hall was announced. Batson, a Marine Corps veteran and downtown Bryan bar owner, bought the building back with help from friends and reopened it as Concrete Rodeo. "This is just filling that void of a dance hall," Madyson Batson told KBTX.
The Battalion's coverage of the announcement described plans for the third floor to become a roughly 2,540-square-foot dance floor with a mechanical bull and pool tables, a patio bar on the first floor, and a sports bar on the second, as reported in The Battalion's coverage. The paper reported the goal was to be its own kind of place, not a copy of Hurricane Harry's, the College Station dance hall demolished in December 2024. "Just support it," Dustin Batson told the paper. "Just come out and dance, and, you know, drink."
